UL30F - Battery charger and trickle-charger

Why do you need a trickle charger?

Lead batteries are subject to self-discharge even when they are not connected. Depending on the technology, this discharge occurs at different speeds. The rule also applies that every 10°C increase in the outside temperature doubles the discharge rate. From the state of discharge, the battery goes into the state of deep discharge. The battery acid has largely converted to water. The lead sulfate dissolves in this water and blooms into sulfate crystals. This battery is destroyed for use and must be replaced.

A lead battery can only be kept ready for use by trickle charging.

The trickle charger and car battery charger UL30F is used to maintain and charge 24V lead batteries with a maximum capacity of 400Ah and was designed for the individual requirements of our customers. Due to the automatic trickle charge function, the batteries can remain connected to the charger for an indefinite period of time without being damaged. The trickle charger and car battery charger UL30F is delivered in a robust aluminum housing. It is used in harsh environments - such as integrated in heavy construction vehicles, as a charging station for industrial trucks in large industrial warehouses or to ensure operational readiness for fire departments, police and military. The trickle charger and car battery charger has several mounting options - with strong magnets it can be attached to the outside of the vehicle during the charging process or permanently installed in the vehicle, on the wall or on a robust support frame.

The trickle charger and charger UL30F is protected against:

• Temperature fluctuations
• Shock and vibrations
• and protected against dust and water jets (IP65).

Charging cable

As standard, the trickle charger is connected with a 7-pin VG flange plug type 16S. The length of the charging cable and the ambient temperature are compensated for by the device in the software.

• The Nortec 032F charging cable enables the direct connection of a trickle charger with a 7-pin connection socket type 16S to vehicles that have a 2-pin external start socket type VG 96 917.
• The Nortec 033E charging cable enables the direct connection of a trickle charger with a 7-pin connection socket type 16S to the batteries using 80A charging clamps.

Alternatively, we also offer our customers charging cables with open ends that are permanently attached to the trickle charger for self-configuration or direct connection in the vehicle.

Other

Optionally, we can also provide charge status information from the Nortec UL30F trickle charger and car battery charger. This can be a PLC interface or an external LED display.

Our universal carrying frame has proven itself when used in large fleets with heavy vehicles.

The trickle charger and car battery charger is also available as a 12V version upon request.
